The ODTOS was founded in 2016 to provide those who appreciate the legacy and culture of the theatre organ with a forum in which to meet other, like-minded individuals and share information regarding the history, restoration, maintenance and playing style of this truly American instrument. All are welcome to join the membership. The Society is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Society is also permitted by the Commonwealth of Virginia to solicit funds for non-profit activities. A financial statement is available upon written request from the Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs in the Division of Consumer protection of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Contributions are tax deductible (be certain to consult your tax advisor for details specific to your situation).
The Chapter is currently re-building and plans to meet three times each year, so that members can enjoy live performances, open console sessions and the comradery of others with similar interests. Your support is needed to help us realize our mission and vision. Membership is only $25 per year and your check can be mailed to Joseph N. Graif, 162 Lexington Square, Carrollton, VA. To preserve and promote the Theatre Pipe Organ in the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond.
To encourage fellowship among Theatre Organ enthusiasts through meetings, public performances, education and encouragement of talented musicians to preserve the art of this truly American instrument.
We value our members, fellow-enthusiasts and donors above all else. We believe in the intrinsic value of all genres of music and of those who bring them to the listening audience. We will strive for variety in our presentations and diversity in our performers. The ODTOS will always conduct its affairs in an ethical and honest manner.
